The relatively thin layer of life at the surface of the earth, our biosphere, is a structure “a field” which is the cradle and home that supports all life on the planet. This field resembles a field of influence that is teeming with intelligent energy. It is like we are living within a mind. We can see the effect of this field of influence in the following ways.

When raindrops fall thru this field they are in a state of zero gravity. When raindrops fall they are in a state of zero gravity, being in the influenced of the molecular structure and the Field; they crystallize into snowflakes and show this unseen influence of this Field. We also see this effect to a lesser degree when there is absolutely no wind on a very cold and quiet morning on the tips of tree and plant stems. The influence of the field is a relative weak force and is easily overshadowed by gravity and violent winds, which can dominate the influence and create hail instead of a snow flake. It is only when the Field of Influence is the prevailing force and it is changing into a solid state that we can see the influence of this Field. This unusual process could be described as a force of intelligence, beauty and love.

We live in a space that carries unseen radio waves and with a properly working radio we can pick up a radio signal. Why then does it not occur to us that there may be other influences in this space that would be equally or more useful to us than radio waves. Maybe it isn’t so strange that we can pick up the energy/information of this Third Force in the Field if we, like the radio receiver, have a properly focused and tuned body asking for this energy in a proper way.

This “field” nurtures all life. We are walking and swimming thru this Field however we can’t benefit from being in it unless we are living in the present and being in a true state of love. Being in the present is when all of our centers, intellectual emotional and moving /instinctive centers, are not going off in different directions. It is a state when we are not in any state of negative emotion such as fear, hate, anger, envy, and even the emotion of taking the effects of competition personally.

When I get in a quite place where I hear none of the normal sounds of regular life, the sound that I do hear is the sound of this G*D Field. Some describe it as a ringing. Some call it the sound of the “AUHM” of life.The Popular group Simon and Garfunkel refereed to it in their now famous song “The Sound of Silence”.If you get in a quiet place this sound is indeed a mysterious Sound which hasn’t yet been explained by our authorities.

When an embryo of a mammal grows it receives nourishment from a field of love and intelligent energy that provides the fuel for growth and there is something that decides what each cell will grow into. A particular cell will be an eye cell and another cell will be guided to growing into a foot or toe nail cell. This intelligent Field is an invisible Third Force emanating and influencing this new fetus and providing the intelligent guidance for the cellular development to grow into a complete new person.

In Mathew 3:2 John, the baptist, is quoted as saying that “the kingdom of heaven is at hand” and in Luke17:21 Jesus is quoted as saying “the kingdom is within you”. In The Gospel according to Thomas, in Log 78, Jesus is quoted as saying “cleave a piece of wood and I am there; lift up a stone and you will find me there!”. It sounds as if we are encouraged to relate to this something which my friends call an unseen intelligent and loving field from which we can draw from.

We wouldn’t think of life without the light of sunshine but every day most of us do think of life without the help of the intelligence of the Field. It is my suspicion that the practice of ancient Sun worship was a significant and very appropriate metaphor for living with the knowing and value of the energy in the Field. It could be paraphrased as “living in the sunshine” for just as sunshine either shines upon or is reflected to all places, third force as a field appears to be radiating throughout our environment.

The common compass is an instrument that measures a magnetic field. Is this force field the only force field?

I often see trees that have been planted a foot or two inside a five foot high masonry wall and the evergreen foliage of the tree was in the shape of its genetically guided shape hidden in its seed. One would normally think that because of the wall, the tree would be somewhat deformed, however the tree grew up, over the five foot high wall and down the other side to fill in the genetic shape that was in its seed.It appears that the genetic influence of the plant combines with third force of the invisible field and seeks the shape of the tree as if the wall wasn’t there. The tree is just promoting growth to fill in it’s genetically embedded shape of that particular tree. If the tree were following the intention from the seed, the growth would go up the tree trunk then with certain branches having managed to get over the top of the wall, growth would continue outward and upward as most branches do. This is not what happens in the examples shown; once over the wall these branches actually grow downward and seem to fill in the missing tree shape that the wall obstructed.

The apostle Saul aka Paul had an experience or an epiphany which proved to him that Christ was really alive and well in the world of the unseen or in the “Field”. Since that Christ was no longer in his earthly body this out-of-body experience can only be explained by this field of unseen intelligent energy that we can connect with.

On a particular island that is separated by other islands by a too to-far-to-swim expanse of ocean, a monkey discovers and likes washed food. Other monkeys see the first monkey washing his food, tries it, likes it and adopts it and soon this washing becomes a tribal custom. The more prevalent and widespread the food-washing custom becomes, the stronger the “food-washing” field of Third Force becomes. At the point at when there were a hundred monkeys that adopted the custom of “food-washing” the monkeys on the too-far-to-swim-to islands started washing their food too. Hans Jenny (1904-1972) a Swiss physician, artist and natural scientist did much research in the animation of inert substances with audible sound, found that various sounds can create shapes of powder or other substances. When we put various powders or other substances on a diaphragm and immerse it with sounds and tones, we see the powder respond to the sound or tone being transmitted. The powder acts as if it were enliven; it demonstrates order and motion and even changes this order and motion when a different tone is broadcasted. This phenomena illustrates the effect that various tones (unseen forces) have upon the powder as the solid. What effect do tones and other unseen energies have upon our body?

When you put two pendulum clocks are placed in close proximately, there is a weak tendency for the two clocks to synchronize their beat. That is if the two clocks are relative close in their beat this force will further encourage the two clocks to beat together. Is there some unseen link of influence whereby the two clocks communicate and relate to each other.

Water witching, also called divining, is the process of calling upon a higher power to assist in locating underground pockets or streams of water. This process employs a forked stick or bent metalic rods that move on their own as the holder walks over terrain that is suspected to have underground water. Those who engage in this witching describe how the forked stick has its own power so much so that it twists the bark off or twists itself in two when held tightly. What unseen force moves this stick when the holder is doing all that he can do to resist the movement of the stick

The concept of the “Muse” is a very aptly representation of a loving energy that responds to what we thirst and long for, what we focus upon or what we tune in to and what we ask for. With practice, we find that if we keep our attention upon the question without any prejudiced of the outcome, we will find that at a time chosen by the Muse, She will whisper in our ear a response to our question. She delivers an unseen “influence” similar to the many other unseen influences that we have been discussing.

The classic symbol of the dove for the Holy Spirit is also present. The man, who is about his usual daily affairs, eating his cereal. His body looks old as it has gone without the Holy Spirit for too long. His eyes indicate that he is being stirred by something that he cannot define; by something that doesn’t fit any of his repertoires of learned events. This event is a major event in his life. Will he curse it for disturbing his habitual life style? Will he see it as a wave of Spirit splashing upon his shore? How will he explain this event within his known language which doesn’t have any words for this kind of event; maybe with a metaphor?

Dualism? Some will say that this First Force and Second Force, are nothing more than the primitive, simplistic and archaic dualistic view of things being “Good or Evil”. If by choice we live in the world of Good and Evil we tend to diminish one in favor of the other or work to eliminate one altogether to live in the other altogether. Seeing Good and Evil is when we are predisposed to being judgmental. Seeing First and Second Force for what they really are is a step in the opposite direction because it labels these two forces with neutral terms. It is a step toward acceptance of what’s real in life; a step toward understanding what’s real in our lives will eventually strengthens us and greatly increase our self confidence and ultimately lays the foundation for love to emerge from our protected shell and leads us toward that enlivened community.

Intelligence on our roads. Americas most popular transportation system is motor vehicles traveling in opposing directions on our two lane roads often with only inches between several thousand pounds of steal traveling at differential speeds of 120 to 150 mph or more. It is absolutely amazing to compare the number of automobile accidents that could occur on our two-lane roads with how few accidents actually do occur. This can only be explained by the fact that each driver is choosing to reach his or her destination safely and chooses to see his fellow traveler as friendly rather than adversarial. Because of this we achieve our aim of reaching our personal destination safely by staying in the present and paying attention to the road, the speed and location of the other cars etc. By being conscious when driving on the road with the speed and location of the other cars, third force is thus a present and able companion driver. This suggests that our highways to some degree are holy sanctuaries or places where there are more harmonious attitudes to our fellow drivers than adversarial attitudes.

Location of our mind. There is no good information as to the exact location of the mind. The source of memory is uncertain. Perhaps our mind as we know it does not exist; and if so, its advice is unreal. The most enlightened teachers that I have known, say that the mind is mislabeled; that this organ was designed to observe, be aware of all that it can and to report what is. Once what is is reported, the mind becomes aware of the appropriate personal guidance.

Peter Russel in his book “The Global Brain Awakens” discusses the Gaia Hypothesis and identifies “perception” as the key activity and primal evidence of the existence of this energy field. “Perception”, he says is communication between this energy field and ourselves; he then corrects himself by suggesting that “communion” is a better description of this process that occurs. He describes air as an invisible power that circulates both within us and around us, swaying trees and moving clouds. He further describes how in countless languages the words for spirit and psyche are derived from the same root as the words for wind and breath. And in English the word for ‘spirit’ is related to the word for ‘respiration’ through their common origin in the Latin word ‘spiritus’ meaning ‘breath’. Likewise our word ‘psyche’ with all of its recent derivations has its roots in ancient Greek ‘psychein’ which means to ‘breath’ or to blow like the wind. It is this unseen energy that provides the food for our unseen body.
